Congratulations Asher JH

HUGE congratulations to Danielle Wilson and Asher (Tidewaters Fire Quacker) for obtaining their Junior Hunter this weekend. Asher is a Rowan x Leia puppy from the December 2010 litter. Which, if you do the math, means Asher is only 9 months old. A junior hunter is a great achievement, especially in a puppy so young. We're very proud of all the hard work and great fun that Danielle and Doug have put into getting Asher this far in his career.

Fall Training Day

End of September and a gorgeous, gorgeous day for training.

We did some marks out in Milton. Photos on the left are:

and Trudy with (maybe) her new Tidewater puppy, who is showing how enthusiastic he'll be as a big, tough huntin' dog.

Training Day

Today we went training along with the big dogs. We went for a ride in the truck, chased each other around the field, played with bumpers and got mauled by a whole bunch of people. It was such a warm day that we cooled off in our water bowl.

4 weeks old

Our little babies are growing quickly! Today is Saturday and they've spent the whole day on the deck so far. It was a bit chilly this morning so they started off in the kitchen, but one little boy kept going to the door and crying to go out, so out they went.

The puppy on the left is a little boy. He's a real little snuggler and really likes that fluffy blanket. You'll notice he has a bit of white on his head - that that's already faded considerably. The puppies in the 2nd picture are the girls. I managed to capture them between lunch and falling asleep, so they sat still for exactly 12 seconds.

Outdoor adventures

Today, the puppies had their first outdoor adventure. It was a gorgeous, warm day and they really seemed to enjoy getting out and wandering around a space that's considerably bigger than what they're used to.

3 Weeks Old Today

Today we started the weaning process by introducing the puppies to "pablum". For us that's just ground up puppy food mixed with a whole bunch of water. The puppies found it to be very fun - as you can see from those dirty little faces. After the pablum came baths!
