Week 5 - New Adventures

We had all kinds of big adventures this week.  Puppies went for a car ride, discovered some new fields and went on a big walk.  They met a bunch of new people, played with some new toys and learned about birds (those photos to follow.

Outdoor adventures - 4 weeks old

This week, puppies are 4 weeks old.  We're having a bit of a heat wave here in Guelph but the puppies are enjoying being outside for short periods of time.  They have a big fan and a swimming pool and some nice cozy blankets for when they need to dry off.

Puppies are getting to be very active this week.  They have come out of their whelping box and have started to explore the kitchen and have even been outside for a short period of time. It was a pretty hot day, so they decided they liked it better in the air conditioning.  They've also started to play with toys.

Three Weeks Old

Puppies got to hang out in the kitchen today, for the first time.  Once they're big enough to start motoring around, we like to give them a bit more space to do that in, beyond their whelping box.  They also get exposed to the big dogs (on the other side of the baby gate), new "upstairs" noises like the dishwasher and vacuum cleaner.  They were big helpers while I was cooking breakfast.  You should have seen their little noses sniffing as I made bacon!
