An Excellent Summer!

Congratulations to Rob McSpadden and his girls for such an excellent summer.  Willow (Rowan/Leia) has gone 5 for 5 to achieve her HRC Hunting Retriever title and Piper (Drake/Shannon) has gone 4 for 4 to achiever her Started Hunting Retriever title.  The girls are having a great deal of fun with their training and trialing.  Thank you Rob for providing these girls with such a great home.  We are very proud of all the hard work that's gone into this great success!

This week, puppies are getting more and more adventurous.  They've been for a couple of car rides, they've explored a big field and the whole backyard is now a puppy playground.  We've been blessed with a few nice, warm days and now that they've had a taste of outside, they don't want to come in, even when the day turns damp and cold.

The adventures continue this week.  When the sun comes out and shines on the deck, puppies have had the opportunity to run around a play outside, which they love.  It's still a bit chilly, so they don't stay out too long, but they sure have fun while they're out there.  It was awfully windy today, so most of the toys blew into the corner, but they entertained themselves on the steps to the hot tub.

Big adventures this week included starting to eat "big dog" food, going outside, playing with toys and expanding horizons.  Puppies spend all day upstairs now, running and playing and getting used to the sounds of the household.

Puppies are 3 weeks old and are starting to be very mobile.  They came up to the kitchen this week and have started to explore a bigger area.  Their eyes are open, they can hear us and they're on the move!  The fun has begun...

Puppies are 2 weeks old today.  I apologize for the blurries - trying to keep 2 week old puppies still long enough to have their photo taken is pretty much impossible!  You'll see that eyes are starting to open and my goodness, they're active!
