As part of a joint initiative of Burlington Public Library and the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog program, Cowboy (pictured above) and his owner Trudy, will be participating in the Paws 4 Stories program.  Cowboy has been specially trained to sit and listen while a child between the ages of 6 and 10 reads to him.  The purpose of the Paws 4 Stories program is to help children improve their reading skills and increase their confidence, interest, and enjoyment in reading by reading to a furry friend.

Those Rowan and Leia babies have been very busy this weekend!  In the top photo, Asher (Tidewaters Fire Quacker) earned his WC at the Greater Pittsburgh Golden Retriever test today.  At the same time, his sister Reba (Tidewaters Redneck Woman) earned her first JH pass at the Ontario Lab Owners club test.  Congratulations and our heartfelt appreciation go out to Danielle and Wendy who do such an amazing job building a great working relationship with these puppies.

Happy birthday to our handsome Drake.  He turned 12 years old on the 4th of June.  We're very lucky to have him still in great health and acting like a young dog.

Alora and Bella at Lake Ontario

Congratulations to Alora and Bella Bridge - together, they passed the first two legs of their Started Hunting Retriever title at Lake Ontario's test this past weekend.  Bella is a Rowan and Leia daughter from our December 2010 litter.  We're very excited to see them do so well.
